How does the #followfriday ranking work?
This ranking monitors tweets from the entire world that include one of these hashtags: #ff, #followfriday, #cuate, #sigueelviernes, #vivaviernes, #shoutout. We count all tweets sent between Thursday 12:00 GMT and Saturday 12:00 GMT.
Why do you monitor tweets on Thursday and Saturday?
The #followfriday tradition makes recommendations on Fridays but we needed to extend the period to part of Thursday and Saturday in order to monitor all the countries.
How can I improve my ranking?
You can improve your ranking by receiving more recommendations from your followers, talk with your followers, make strong relationships, share good information and of course recommend some of them too. You only have to use Twitter correctly and then your followers will spontaneously recommend you to their followers.
How can I appear in the correct country and language rankings?
Country and language rankings are computed based on our automatic geolocalization algorithms. If you want to be sure to appear in the correct rankings then login and edit your profile if need be.
Why is my number of FFs zero?
Be sure that you haven't made more than 50 recommendations. If you did then you will need to wait until next week. Please read our ranking rules.
Can I recommend myself?
Yes, you can if you want, but our ranking won't count it.
How many users can I recommend?
You can recommend all the users that you want, but if you recommend more than 50 then you won't be ranked. This strict rule is to make the ranking as spontaneous as possible. Note that we count all your tweets using these hashtags #ff, #followfriday, #cuate, #sigueelviernes, #vivaviernes, #shoutout.
How many times can I recommend each user?
You can recommend as many times as you want, but only the first recommendation will count and the rest will be ignored in our ranking.
Does this site store my password?
No, never. We use the authentication protocol OAuth. This protocol will take you to a twitter webpage where you authorize us to use your Twitter account without us knowing your password.
Does this site send tweets without my permission?
No. We only send those tweets that you authorize with the corresponding button actions.
Do I have to pay to use this service?
No, absolutely nothing! We don’t even ask for a donation. If you like the ranking and you want to collaborate then share it with your friends.
How can I advertise my product or services in this site?
